The Rohingya Refugee Camp

The Rohingya are a persecuted etnic minority who have been violently evicted from Ryanmar by Buddhist extremists.  Over the past year, 700,000 Rohingya have been driven from their homes and are now residing in refugee camps in Bangladesh. Their living condition are already dire, and moonson season is approaching. Most of these people are living in make- shift plastic shelters and have little or no shelter from the rain. Most of the Ryanmar people suffer from sever trauma as the last year has been filled with terror and life threatening experiences. The refugee camp has received international attention and multiple organizations are working on building bamboo shelters that will protect them from the moonson season.
